Czars rocker branches out
The Denver-born vocalist recently released his debut solo album Queen of Denmark which he claims is the record he has been waiting his whole life to make.
Backed by soft rockers Midlake, the album charts the high highs and low lows of his life and career.

Hide AdMidlake bassist Paul Alexander said: “We first heard The Czars on our first trip to London. His voice was the first thing I noticed - John has such this incredible baritone. But we didn’t go crazy over him until we saw him live”. Of the album Grant said: “For me, there isn’t a word of filler on the album. I’ve made a very clear statement about where I’m at and who I am as a person, and that’s one reason I’m so proud of it, that I was able to articulate it.”
John Grant and Midlake will take to the stage at the Leamington Assembly on Thursday June 23.
