Silly styles on mad hair day
Giggles were aplenty as pupils and staff took part in a ‘crazy hair’ day to help raise money for the school’s parent-teacher association.
Admin manager Jean Trowton, who covered her own head with a tartan hat and ginger wig ensemble, said: “Some wore huge wigs, others sprayed their hair in all sorts of colours.

“The children love it, especially when they can see the adults looking silly.”
In exchange for being able to come in with crazy hair, each pupil brought in an item to donate to tombolas which will run during the school’s Christmas drama performances, which take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week.
It was the second rather unusual Friday in succession at the school.

Mrs Trowton said: “We are trying to raise as much as we can.
“The PTA pays for the stage system and safety rails for the plays and it also buys computer equipment for the school.
“It all looks very professional.
“They are very good – we are lucky to have them.”
