Arrest made after ‘minor explosion’ near old police station in Leamington
A 50-year-old man was arrested after a minor explosion took place near the former Police station in Leamington on Saturday morning.
There were no injuries or damage to property and police believe it was an isolated incident and not related to an act of terrorism.
An area between the corner of Hamilton Terrace and Euston Place was cordoned off while investigations took place.
The incident took place at about 9.55am and the man was arrested near the scene shortly after.
Enquiries are continuing to establish what prompted the incident.
