Police rescue dog trapped in car in scorching heat as owners went off shopping in Rugby
The owners will be reported to the RSPCA

Police removed a dog left in a car while its owners went shopping in Rugby.
As temperatures reached the 30c mark today (Sunday), the poor dog was left in the vehicle in Elliott's Field Retail Park.

Hide AdOfficers from Rugby's Safer Neighbourhood Team were called to the scene and removed the dog from the vehicle.
They said: "Owners will be reported to the RSPCA. With the hot weather forecast for the next few weeks, please do not leave dogs in vehicles."
