Police did put up a cordon but traffic has not been affected.
The branch fell on an empty council property, causing damage to the front garden and wall.
Nextdoor neighbour and taxi driver Jacqui Milton was sleeping after a long shift and was woken up by the noise.

"It seems to have caused a lot of damage to the wall but luckily no one was hurt."
Ian Gallagher, who works for Newsline PR in Warwick Place, opposite where the tree fell, saw the mess when he went to work the next day (Thursday).
“It was a real shock arriving for work and seeing this huge tree branch had crashed into someone’s front garden," he said.

“The council have been on site all morning clearing up the mess and now you’d barely know it had happened – but it could have been a whole lot worse.”
