I hope clergy see through charade
The leaders of our churches wrote to him expressing deep concern of the effect these were having on low income households across the country. He then made the statement this is a “Christian country’, hoping no doubt, that this would dampen down anger. However can I remind him to glance at his Bible and read James chapter 2, verse 14, I quote “what good is it if a man claims to have faith but has no needs”. Also verse 17 “in the same way faith by itself, if it not accompanied by action, is dead”.
Did anyone who lent their trust to this government envisage that food banks (soup kitchens) would be the only vehicle to food for low income families, due to poverty?

It is my sincere hope that our clergy and others will see through this charade.
