Members of the Warwick Lions Club have helped support residents in the Warwick district by delivering Christmas food parcels
This week the club, which serves both Warwick and Leamington, have been out and about delivering around 200 food parcels, which is something members have done every Christmas for the past 40 years.

Thanks to donations of foodstuffs from the public, the assistance of supermarkets in the area and financial grants from various organisations, Club members have been kept busy throughout the summer making up and delivering food parcels to those in need.
Like previous years the club issued an appeal to the community for donations for their Christmas food parcels and were overwhelmed by the response.
A spokesperson from the Warwick Lions Club said: "With so many charity appeals going out this year we were expecting a lower response than usual but in fact the reverse was true and once again we were truly amazed at the generosity of local people.

" It was a bit different this year with covid precautions and the rain didn’t make it easy on our collection teams but we are so happy with the turnout.
"We can assure you that you’ve made Christmas a bit easier for many in our town.
"Special thanks to Morrisons Leamington Community for their support with minced pies, extra tea, and bags for the recipients."
