Hide AdAlan Lettis from Warwick Court Leet said: "Due to the unknown of what is going to happen in the short term due to the coronavirus and large group gatherings being allowed, the committee from the Warwick Court Leet met recently and after a lengthy discussion it was agreed that we would postpone the 2020 Warwick Beer Festival due to be held in Pagaent Gardens in July for the time being.
"The safety of our many visitors and helpers was the main consideration in this decision.
"We know this decision will be a huge disappointment to a great many people as it was one of the highlights of the Warwick towns summer events and another meeting is going to be held in June to discuss the feasibility of holding it in the autumn.
"Rest assured there is some good news that can give everyone something to look forward in 2021, the Lord Leycester Hospital Beer Festival will be held on February 12 and February 13 and the summer beer festival will be held on July 16 and July 17.
"Stay safe and we will update everyone as soon as a decision has been made."
