Protestors gather outside Leamington town hall for Local Plan meeting
The district council will tonight (Wednesday) decide whether to approve the publication of its Draft Local Plan.
The plan includes 2,700 new homes to the south of Warwick, 830 in the Harbury and the Bishops Tachbrook area South of Whitnash and 300 for Lillington.

Hide AdMoney will be used to develop Leamington town centre, industrial estates and new road networks along with four new primary schools across the district.
Protestors have questioned whether the number of houses in the plan is needed and are concerned about the increase of traffic, impact on air quality and a lack of infrastructure.
Should the publication be approved then a public consultation will run for six weeks from May 12.
A report on tonight’s meeting will be published in Friday’s Courier and Weekly News.
