Pub where famous war song was written is up for sale
The Tipperary Inn in Meer End Road, Honiley, has its place in history as the pub where the song was written by Harry Williams and Jack Judge.
Mr Williams’ parents were publicans who ran The Plough Inn, where the song was written. He purchased the pub for them with the royalties he received from the song and they, in turn, changed the pub’s name to The Tipperary Inn.
