Pupils set to dream up bird box grand designs
Thirty children from the school have been challenged by retailer Wilko to design their dream bird box.
The national winner will get £500 for their school to fund a trip to a local bird sanctuary and the winning design will be produced as a one-off for the school to use.

The retailer has joined forces with the RSPCA to develop a range of products to help the UK’s wild bird population thrive, and also to encourage children to increase their common wild bird knowledge.
Earlier this year, research carried out by Wilko revealed a lack of awareness among school children about UK birdlife.
It suggested a quarter of six-to-ten year olds would not be able to recognise a robin, while 40% had never seen an owl in real life.
