Queen Elizabeth I to appear at Kenilworth Castle this bank holiday
The two day event takes place on Sunday May 29 and Monday May 30, and will bring to life the extravagance of Queen Elizabeth’s historic 1575 visit to Kenilworth with a variety of activities, including horse displays, falconry, and jokes from the Kenilworth court jester.
Property manager Holly Woodward said: “The royal visit to Kenilworth in 1575 was one of the most talked about events in Elizabethan England, and has gone down as one of the greatest parties in history.

“Seeing the castle returned to its Elizabethan heyday is a real treat, and I can’t wait to welcome budding courtiers young and old to join in over the bank holiday weekend.”
The event will take place from 11am to 5pm on both days. All activities are included in the ticket price.
